When every single local movie release seems like the same thing, it’s refreshing to watch stories that stand out from the hordes of romantic comedies and horror films. For this year, these two movies are what I’m personally excited about: Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme and I Do Bidoo Bidoo.
KIMMY DORA AND THE TEMPLE OF KIYEME – opens June 13, 2012
After being the surprise indie hit of 2009, Kimmy and Dora Go Dong Hae are back on the big screen… this time in a horror comedy that will surely make us go crazy with laughter.
I DO BIDOO BIDOO – opens August 2012
From Unitel Productions and the creative force that is Chris Martinez (100, Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank, Kimmy Dora, Here Comes the Bride), here’s a musical that features an all-star cast of Philippine idols singing classics by The APO Hiking Society.
… so I hope to see you at the movies when these come out! Mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino!
